Additional Information | There is a section with the Story of “Our Lady of Guadalupe” tradition, from Mexico, written in Dakota. The second page contains an image and a brief description of Catholic education at Red Cloud Indian School (in South Dakota) and some stories, as well as letters and updates about the Catholic Churches and missions in North and South Dakota. This issue is longer, containing a supplement on “Our School Children’s Department”. This supplement is mainly a couple of letters to Rev. Jerome, and then a long description of the “Eyapaha” (Rev. Jerome Hunt) participation at the Sioux Indian Congress, held at the Cheyenne Agency (South Dakota), followed by trips up to Grand River (South Dakota), Fort Yates (North Dakota), and Cannon Ball (North Dakota). There also letters from visitors to Fort Totten, as well as a report of a storm that damaged the Corpus Christi Church at the Cheyenne Agency (on 19 July 1892). |
