This supplement has more information from the Catholic Sioux Indian Congress (from back in July), a piece on “When Jesus was a child”, as well as letters to Rev. Jerome from (1) the Agricultural Boarding School in Standing Rock, (2) the Holy Rosary Mission at Pine Ridge, and (3) the Industrial Boarding School at Fort Yates. It also has a description of the establishment (1886) and functions of The Immaculate Conception Mission School at Crow Creek. The main part of the newsletter has a long piece on Saint Jerome (from the 4th Century), as well as news of weddings, a report of a destructive storm at Cannon Ball, North Dakota, and some words of wisdom with the continued discussion of the Lord’s Prayer (all in Dakota). |
